Completing your Education or Training

When you have a baby, going to school, a training course or college can be very hard work and expensive. But if you who succeed in finishing your education or training you will be in a better position to get work you like and to provide for yourself and your child.

The Government has some schemes to support parents who are still in education or training or who wish to return.
Depending on your circumstances you may be entitled to some help.

Home Tuition
If you are still in secondary school, you may be entitled to a Home Tuition Grant for Maternity Related Absences. This entitles you to 90 hours of Home Tuition over a 6 month period. The tuition may be before or after the birth of your baby.
